MRG Systems have become the latest member of the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA), which is one of the industry’s most high profile bodies.

The EGBA represents some of the top iGaming operators that are currently licensed and regulated within the EU. It works with national governments and regulatory bodies, along with the EU and other industry stakeholders to promote a well-regulated gambling industry.

Among the EGBA’s aims is to promote a safe and reliable European digital environment for players, and it also takes a lead on the issues of responsible gaming and sustainable regulation. As part of this commitment, EGBA members have to undergo regular audits to ensure they are in compliance with the CEN Workshop Agreement on Responsible Remote Gambling Measures.

European digital environment

According to the CEO of MRG, Per Norman, the company shares the goals of the EGBA and is keen to work with the body to help develop a reliable digital environment for players across Europe.

The EGBA, through its members, represents over 20 million EU consumers, and works with gaming companies to develop more attractive and innovative products in a competitive industry. Speaking about the announcement from MRG, the secretary general of the EGBA, Maarten Haijer, said that the company would be an asset to the EGBA:

“We are very pleased that MRG has joined the EGBA family, and we look forward to working closely together with them towards an open, well-regulated market for online gaming in the EU and EEA. MRG brings a strong profile of responsibility, and together we will work towards developing attractive regulated markets that are capable of channelling consumers, and providing a high level of consumer protection.”
