Man City v Everton Betting Preview

Manchester City will host Everton as they look to rebound following their first defeat of the season last time out against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Everton come in off of back-to-back draws against Watford and Newcastle United. The Toffees and head man Marco Silva would be more than pleased with another draw here considering City have not conceded a point at home all season.

Not only that, but their performances on the road have been underwhelming to say the least. Only two teams in the Premiership, Cardiff City and Brighton, have had a bigger home-road disparity. Despite being seventh overall on the table, Everton have only secured an average of 0.86 points while playing away from Goodison Park.

Silva and company will have to rely on the strength of their defence and hope that the offensive struggles that plagued City against Chelsea last weekend have not yet been resolved. A nil-nil or one-one result is not out of the question, if that indeed is the case, however, the odds are obviously stacked against them.

To make matters worse for the Toffees, City could get Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero back from injury. De Bruyne is one of the world’s top-class midfielders and, when fit, really provides a spark to their attack with his incisive passing. Aguero, their top striker, has been a menace at the Etihad where he has scored seven of his eight goals.

Infogol currently feels that the market is appropriately pricing both sides in this game. Their model has however highlighted potential value on betting Under 3.5 goals at a price of 17/20.
