United’s Dream Team
Manchester United’s dream team, that’s Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Sir Alex, Mickey Phelan, Michael Carrick, and the one who looks like Phil Neville but is really 32 years old Kieran McKenna. McKenna, who’s from County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland, joined Spurs as a youngster but a hip injury forced him to retire at the age of 23. At that point, he turned to coaching and by 2015 he became Spurs under 18 head coach. In 2016 he joined United in a similar role. When Rui Faria left United at the end of last season Jose Mourino promoted McKenna as his assistant. Neville, for anyone wondering, is still head coach of the England women’s football team.
Pogba Full Love In
Since Solskjær’s arrival United have smashed everyone out of sight. That’s the mighty Cardiff, Huddersfield, and Bournemouth, which seems to have created a kind of Paul Pogba ‘Full Love In’ effect around the club. Pogba, rebuked by Carrick when high fiving teammates upon hearing about Mourino’s departure, can do no wrong. He’s scoring, smiling, dancing, and seems the perfect team player. How could anyone have doubted him! He might be guilty of a bit of showboating, that former French international Claude Makélélé is clearly not too impressed with, but he’s got the talent for it so he can be forgiven. Eric Bailly, United’s Ivorian defender, is a different case. He strutted with Pogba during a goal celebration against Bournemouth before a crazy tackle on Ryan Fraser meant he took an early bath. Stick to defending Eric and not strutting. Ole doesn’t need you getting him in a fine mess!
United to March On
Newcastle, who came close to an Old Trafford shock, shouldn’t have enough in their locker to contain the rampant Pogba and Rashford show tonight.

At the age of 17 Marc started working for the local Echo in Southampton and even made the sports pages himself when selected for Hampshire youth. But a serious back injury, sustained after a car crash on his way back from a party from Bournemouth, put paid to his sporting career. So now he writes about it.
