One of the more fun to place bets you can place on a horse race or a greyhound race is something known as a Tricast bet. Now this bet will see you having to correctly predict the first three runners in the race you have selected which are going to fill the first, second and third paces in that race in the correct order.
Whist you may think that is going to be hard to achieve, take for example a six runner greyhound race, there are only 120 possible ways for you to predict the dogs in that race will finish in the first three positions so the odds on you correctly doing so as similar to picking out the winning number on a roulette wheel!
You can place a Tricast bet of any amount, and by doing so if you then manage to correctly predict the first three placed winning dogs or horses then at the end of the race a Tricast Dividend will be declared.
One thing to keep in mind though is that the dividend will always be declared to a 1.00 stake unit, and as such if you have placed a Tricast bet of any other amount other than 1.00 you will be paid out pro rata so placing a 2.00 Tricast bet that is a winning one will see you getting double the amount declared as the Tricast Dividend.
Quite a few sport betting sites and bookmakers will round up the Tricast Dividend to the next Pound and as such those sites are offering you value as for example a dividend declared of say 43.29 will be rounded up to a winning payout of 44.00 for every 1.00 unit stake you wagered on that bet.
