The US Supplier Will Be Sending New Equipment to Saxony
The United States gaming supplier Scientific Games has won a bidding process to provide a new range of point-of-sale lottery terminals to the state lottery operator in Saxony, Germany.
Scientific Games will be providing the new equipment to Sachsenlotto, who are the operators of the lottery in that state.
1,460 advanced terminals along with associated software and maintenance services are to be supplied to lottery retailers throughout Saxony, and this new commercial agreement between the two companies is part of a longer relationship that stretches back to 1990.
Sachsenlotto was formed through a merger of the Chemnitz, Dresden and Leipzig district lottery administrations in 1990, and in 2015 the lottery generated approximately US$343m in retail sales.
Additionally, this latest supply deal for Scientific Games sees it maintain its commercial relationship with all 16 of Germany’s state lottery operators.
