The Games Maker Is Expanding With A Little Help From Amaya
The Toronto-listed casino games company NYX Gaming has been able to make its way into the newly opened up gambling market of Romania, through the association that its Open Gaming System (OGS) currently has with the Amaya-owned gaming brand PokerStars.
PokerStars’ parent company Rational Group, which is a subsidiary of Amaya, was recently granted a full gaming licence from Romania’s National Gambling Office, which will enable them to operate in online casino and poker markets, as well as in sports betting markets through the BetStars brand.
The new regulatory freedom enjoyed by Amaya and Rational Group means that the internet domain PokerStars.ro will now be able feature a selection of titles from NYX Gaming, including Foxin’ Wins, Jackpot Jester 50,000 and the branded title James Dean.
Comment From NYX Gaming
Mr David Johnson, who acts in the role of Commercial Director at NYX Gaming, says that the move into Romania further expands NYX’s footprint in globally regulated gambling markets, whilst also being able to expand on their commercial relationships with companies such as Amaya and Rational at the same time.
Mr Johnson added that he is pleased to see that the PokerStars.ro domain will launch into Romania with NYX Gaming’s proven quality content, which is evidence of the already strong working relationship that currently exists between NYX and the PokerStars brand.
Comment From Amaya
Mr Sam Hobcraft, who acts in the role of Director of Casino at Amaya, added that the big operator is pleased to have NYX Gaming content associated and available through the new PokerStars.ro domain, and that the earning of a full operating license in Romania is going to aid Amaya’s goal of taking a leadership position in the world of online gaming casinos, and gambling across the European continent as a whole.
